thought chain parallel: a record of imagined (experienced) events

The camera pans across the group sitting at a table in a restaurant. Eight people, exchanging their thoughts on the action of the opening games of the football season.

The conversation is lively and full of emotion, anticipation, and pleasure of seeing their favorite teams and players make a good showing.

In the distance, a soft volume but thundering bass line under an electronic melody increases in the right audio channel as the field of view glides right to left across the faces. The camera reaches the person at the end corner of the table and the audio centers as the camera does to his face. His eyes display evidence that the individual is zoned outside of the immediate dialog. The melody and bass climax to a moment of celestial freedom (inside of his mind).

You wouldn't think that he was who won the office football pool... but he did.

In other news, I don't know what got into me over the weekend. Was it hope? Was it rest? Was it channeling the negativity away, around, out? I feel like I could move a fucking mountain, or at least an adequate sized hill. I hope to hold it... it's a nice vacation.
